One Health Central and Eastern Africa (OHCEA), a network of 14 institutions of public health and veterinary medicine in six countries of Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda, with USA partners University of Minnesota and Tufts University are pleased to invite submission of abstracts to the first International OHCEA One Health Conference to be held from 23rd to 27th September 2013, at Hilton Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Call for Abstracts and Organized Sessions
The Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) is an annual international conference focusing on policy-related health issues of global significance. The conference is hosted by the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation, the Thai Ministry of Public Health, Mahidol University and other global partners. It is an international policy forum that Global Health Institutes, both public and private, can co-own and use for advocacy and for seeking international perspectives on important global health issues. Professor Wambura Philemon Nyangi Elected OHCEA First Board Chaiperson
Professor Wambura Philemon Nyangi, the Dean Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sokoine University of Agriculture was elected as the first chairperson for OHCEA Board. The election was conducted during the Board meeting that was held from September 24th to 25th, 2012 at Harmony Hotel in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia.

OHCEA Holds its first Board Meeting
The first OHCEA Board Meeting was held from September 24th to 25th, 2012 at Harmony Hotel in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia. The meeting was attended by Board Members from the OHCEA partner countries and OHCEA Secretariat staff. The Board elected Professor Wambura Philemon Nyangi (Dean – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sokoine University of Agriculture) as the first Chairperson for the Board.
